During your initial visit, our focus is on getting to know you and thoroughly assessing your oral health. We believe in providing a comprehensive understanding of your current dental status and future options. To achieve this, our new patient diagnostic process includes:
- Your comprehensive new patient exam. We will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health.
- Complete FMX (Full Mouth X-rays). We utilize digital radiography to capture a complete series of X-rays, providing us with a detailed view of your teeth, roots, and surrounding bone structure. This is crucial for identifying any underlying issues not visible during a visual exam.
- Intraoral photos. Using a small, handheld intraoral camera, we will take detailed digital photographs of the inside of your mouth. These images allow you to see exactly what we see, aiding in your understanding of your oral health.
- iTero™ Scan: We utilize the advanced iTero™ scanner to create a precise 3D digital model of your teeth and gums. This comfortable and efficient process eliminates the need for traditional impressions and provides a highly accurate visual representation of your oral anatomy.
With the information gathered from your comprehensive exam, digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and iTero™ scan, we can provide you with a clear and detailed overview of your diagnosis and all available treatment options. The visual 3D representation from the iTero™ scan makes it easier for you to understand any necessary treatments and allows us to collaboratively plan the best path forward for your individual needs and goals.
